Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients
- 100 g ground beef
- 1/2 diced onion
- 20 g sliced leek
- 50 g whole kernel corn
- 60 g diced potatoes
- ¾ cup (180 ml) chicken broth
- A knob of butter
- Salt and pepper
- A sprig of thyme
Preparation
- Brown meat and onion in a skillet. Allow to brown properly.
- Place the ingredients in a Mason style glass jar of 500 ml capacity. Cover with chicken broth. Place the lid and close.
- Place in a big pot of boiling water covering the jar up to the rim and let cook for 1 hour. After the cooking time, take the pot out using tongs and let cool.
*The measurements and quantities are approximate as the goal is to fill the pot.
