Maple Syrup Dumplings

  • Ingredients

    • 1 cup (250 ml) flour
    • ½ cup (125 ml) water
    • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder

    Sauce

    • 1 cup (250 ml) maple syrup
    • 1 cup (250 ml) water

    Sauce

    • 1 cup (250 ml) maple syrup
    • 1 cup (250 ml) water

    Preparation

    • Take 3 Mason style glass jars of 500 ml capacity. Reserve.
    • Place water and maple syrup in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Pour evenly in the pots. Reserve.
    • Mix flour and baking powder. Add water and stir. Split the mixture evenly in the pots. Place lids and close. Place in a big pot of boiling water covering the jars up to the rim and let cook for 45 minutes. After the cooking time, take the pots out using tongs and let cool.
